The Quezon Experience with the Sibs

It’s the time of the year again where I got 4 days off and what’s the best way to spend the Holy week than to reflect about life, contemplate on the mission God has given me and spend time with my sibs. Last year we had a Trilogy hike and camping in Rizal, this time we visit Shaira’s hometown in Infanta, Quezon.

Infanta is a first class municipality in the province of Quezon and also the largest manufacturer of Lambanog. Nearby towns include Real and General Nakar with lovely beaches to camp. We traveled for 5 hours from Sampaloc Manila to Infanta, and we were served with suman, eggs and tinapa (my fave) for breakfast.

Went to the Kubo to eat lunch, but while waiting for the food to be prepared, I slept while my sibs savored fresh watermelon and buko. I forgot to take a photo of the food that they prepared, but it was yum!

Shaira’s kubo.

On the second day, we went to the beach and sunbathe.

At dahil basa kami lahat, eto ang sitwasyon namin on our way to the second destination; THE FALLS! YEY!

It was not a perfect trip, but this made me realize a few things:

a. Not everything may turn out well but always look for the good side of everything.

b. Enjoy every moment with the people you love, whatever you are doing, wherever you are, what matters most is that you are with the people you love.

c. Always have time for your self. Always have time to reflect on life.

d. Always be thankful for everything that you have and for every people that you love and who loves you.

It was a fantastic weekend with my loves, and I am excited to our next Holy Week together. I am more thankful to Shaira for welcoming us to her hometown, for taking care of us and for making sure we had fun.
