My bucket list of destinations

When asked where is the place I want to visit, Paris would always come to mind. I can’t remember when I start to fall in love with the “City of Love,” but I fall hard. Maybe because it is one of the European city that is a center for art, fashion, food, and culture ( all the things I love in one place, weeeh!). Paris is where a lot of world landmarks are located like the Eifel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame de Paris and The Louvre. I  want to have my photo taken at the Eifel Tower, and it is on my bucket list ( sino bang ayaw neto?). I have a fear of heights, but I will never miss taking my photo at the top.

In 1889, Paris hosted an Exposition Universelle ( World’s Fair) to mark the 100-year anniversary of the French Revolution. More than 100 artists submitted competing plans for a monument to be built on the Champ-de-Mars, located in Central Paris, and serve as the exposition’s entrance. The commission was granted to Eiffel et Compagnie, a consulting and construction firm owned by the acclaimed bridge builder, architect and metals expert Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel. While Paris is my ultimate destination abroad, I would also love to visit Barcelona Spain since I am a Meteor Garden fanatic, I would love to visit the places where they shot the scenes of San Chai and Dao Ming Xi. First in mind is the LA SAGRADA FAMILIA, na nabisita din ni San Chai at Dao Ming Xi ( PS. sila ang high school heroes ko that influenced much of who I am today.) Part of me also wants to explore the country who colonized the Philippines for more than 300 years.

La Sagrada Familia is a large Roman Catholic Church in Barcelona, Spain design by Catalan Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi ( 1852- 1926). The construction of Sagrada commenced in 1882 by Architect Francisco Paula de Villar with Gaudi becoming involved in 1883, Francisco resigned as the head architect. Taking over the project, Gaudi transformed it with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and Curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. As of now, 70% of the structure is complete, and the goal is to finish it by 2026, the centenary of Gaudi’s death.  ( Photo from Google)

I would also love to explore New Zealand! After watching a video in facebook tagged by Glen, na hinahanap ko pa para mapost ko dito, I instantly want to book a ticket and fly to New Zealand right there and then. It is a place for people who seeks ultimate adventure and also experience nature more. Grabe gusto ko dun tumira! Plus nadin siguro na nandun si Ate Owee and we can camp in their backyard just so we can make tipid sa accommodations. hahaha.

Just South of Auckland lies the Hamilton-Waikato Region; a land of lush pastures that was chosen to play THE SHIRE in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit Films.  ( Photo from Google)

And oh, did I forget to mention, that Frodo lives here? haha. I am a Lord of the Rings addict ( not really a Harry Potter or Twilight kind of girl) and I am overly ecstatic when I learn that THE SHIRE is a real place. haha

PS. Pansin ko lang, yung mga gusto kong puntahan ay yung mga places na nafeature sa mga paborito kong palabas. hmmm.

CONQUERING SUMMITS: I was in High School when Romy Garduce and Leo Oracion hit the news because of their quest to conquer Mt. Everest. Although I have witnessed Garduce’s journey to Mt. Everest through GMA’s daily updates, it was Oracion who reached the highest peak of Mt. Everest and planted the Philippine Flag. It was their story that fuelled me to conquer mountains. I told myself back then that I will be the First Filipina to conquer the highest mountain on earth ( high school ako nun, maraming pangarap sa buhay at mga kemerot kaya ganern) like my dream of becoming the first Filipino to walk on the moon. I started hiking mountains in the Philippines last 2015, and maybe in the future, I will be able to cross off my bucket list the EVEREST DREAM, kahit sa base camp lang. hahaha.

Those are the places abroad that I would love to visit someday, but of course, I would like to explore my beloved Philippines first. I want to sand-bathe in the unspoiled beaches of Tawi-Tawi, practice my level 1 surfing skills in Siargao, plunge in the Enchanted River of Surigao, go river rafting in Cagayan, canyoneering in Kawasan, Cebu for the 2nd time cause it was an amazing experience and I want to do it again. I want to camp in the beaches of Gigantes Island, Samal Island, Bohol and of course Cebu ( cos ang daming beaches sa Cebu, I grew up there pero hindi ko pa sya na-eexplore like ever). I want to conquer the summits of Mt. Apo, Mt. Dulang-Dulang, Mt. Kitanglad, Mt. Guiting-Guting and Halcon, if my body and my schedule permits. I want to experience every Festival there is in the Philippines, and fall in love with the country and its people, that I want to serve for the rest of my life.

I would like to explore the world, where ever my feet takes me, where ever life takes me, and I will go there with all of my heart. I would love to get to know the world and its stories through the journey of discovering myself. I want to experience, feel, taste, hear and see the beauty of the earth because it is through traveling that I got to meet myself. And it is through the journey of finding myself that I will be able to fulfill my mission, the mission that God gave me and only me can fulfill.
